You can become a Literacy Volunteer:
You will receive intensive tutor training through a series of workshops that will prepare you to teach one-on-one or in small groups. After completing the 18 hour training workshop, you will be matched with an adult student and work together for a minimum of 2 hours per week. You and your student decide where and when to meet. You will receive ongoing support and guidance as you need it. You must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED.

Save your Shaw's Receipts
Your Shaw’s Supermarket receipts can help LVKC! LVKC is a member of the Shaw’s Receipt Rewards Program, which means we can get cash back for our program when we send in Shaw’s grocery receipts. $5,000 in receipts equals $50 in cash towards valuable support for LVKC programs. Save up your receipts and mail them to our address at the Coventry Public Library or simply drop them off. Help us reap the rewards!
For Students:
You must be 18 or older and registered with LVKC, complete intake paperwork and an assessment. Beginning ESL students have the opportunity to enroll in Start Here!, a small group ESL conversation class, while awaiting a tutor. The student must be able to meet at least 2 hours a week and complete homework assignments.
