Special Edition Library Card Available Now!

Need a library card? Come down to the Coventry Public Library for a very special edition library card!

This special edition library card was drawn by Mia T., 5th grader at the Western Coventry Elementary School. Mia, along with over 100 other Coventry students in grades K - 12, participated in the Coventry town-wide student art contest, "Historical Coventry: A Celebration in Art." Mia's art work received the most ballots in our "People's Choice" vote at the Art Show & Reception on May 19th, 2026. The prize was to have the student's art printed on a special edition library card, available only at the Coventry Public Library!

A huge congrats to Mia! We loved your art work, and are so pleased and proud to have it printed on this special edition library card.

Just bring your R.I. license / identification and proof of residency and you can receive your very own special edition library card! Patrons with existing library cards can also exchange theirs for a special edition library card. Please note this card does NOT include a side tag with barcode.

"Historical Coventry: A Celebration in Art" was a collaboration of the Coventry Public Library, Paine House Museum (WRICHS), Coventry Historic Preservation Commission, Town of Coventry, Coventry Parks and Recreation, and the Nathanael Greene Homestead.  It was generously funded with a grant from the RI250 Commission.
